Burgess Cellars Hillside Vineyards Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

The 2015 vintage will be known for higher quality fruit with lower yields. In a year that was considered to be the peak of the drought, the relatively dry and warm winter resulted in small clusters with deeply concentrated flavors and textures. Cooler spring temperatures in May caused a longer flowering period and uneven fruit set, which resulted in less than average quantities. While the warmer than typical summer temperatures brought an early harvest, the expression of aromas, flavors and structure in the 2015 vintage wines are the epitome of the Howell Mountain hillside fruit.
